Urban Species - 1994 - Listen

This British trio uses reggae and jazz rhythms to complement their hip-hop sound. Minimal use of sampling creates a mellow live band feel. Some of the rhymes are sub-standard, but Listen is a great album in the Soul II Soul tradition of UK R&B.
