The second of two volumes showcasing the 1955 Jazz Messengers, At the Cafe Bohemia features Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Kenny Dorham, Hank Mobley and Doug Watkins digging into such strong material as Mobley's "Sportin' Crowd," "Avila and Tequila" and three standards. This band has influenced jazz up to the present day and was in fine form for this live appearance.
